Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established practice in Crosshills, who are looking to appoint a Cloud Bookkeeper to join their growing team. The desired candidate will have responsibility for maintaining a varied portfolio of small businesses within their growing department, along with assisting the senior team with accounts preparation.
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am 5:00pm.
Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Managing a small portfolio of clients taking responsibility for the inflow and processing of information through cloud accounting software
- Liaising with clients as and when necessary, by phone and email
- Submission of VAT returns
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise own workload and keep to deadlines
- Assisting senior accountants of the practice with processing of entries up to trial balance, along with potential production of management accounts and other accounting matters as directed
We are looking for a team player with a willingness to assist and keen attention to detail.
Candidate Requirements:
- Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
- Knowledge of accounting software packages, particularly Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
- Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard
- Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
