About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer with Mechanical bias to join our dynamic team. This role offers a structured day shift to start, until competent with opportunities to progress into rotational shifts once initial competency is demonstrated. This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers looking to work in a collaborative environment with ongoing opportunities for skill advancement and pay progression.
Shift Details:
- Day Shift: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Back Shift (Rotation): Monday-Wednesday, 11:30 am - 10:00 pm; Thursday, 12:30 pm - 10:00 pm
- Occasionally: Tuesday-Thursday, 11:30 am - 10:00 pm; Friday, 12:30 pm - 10:00 pm
- Night Shift (Rotation): Monday-Thursday, 9:50 pm - 8:05 am
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair tasks to ensure optimal performance of production equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with a skilled team to drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the factory.
- Contribute to project work and respond to emergency breakdowns as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer, preferably in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills; ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a range of equipment.
- Flexibility to adapt to rotating shifts following the competency period.
What We Offer:
- Starting Salary: £40,300 per year (£19.8997/hour) with progression to £47,000 - £50,000 following the completion of the competency period.
- Training & Development: In-house and external training courses to support career growth, including pathways to increase pay rates.
- Overtime Opportunities: Evening overtime after competency is demonstrated. Saturday morning overtime for maintenance and setting team only, available most weekends to support project work and outstanding tasks.
