We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care home team, covering placements across Ipswich and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents, supporting their daily needs, and supervising junior staff. This position offers an opportunity to lead with compassion and professionalism, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.

Rates of pay range from £17 to £23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.

Duties include:

  • Delivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, ensuring residents' dignity and independence are maintained.
  • Supervising and supporting junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reports.
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
  • Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing through companionship and engaging activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior care is essential.
