I'm supporting a busy logistics operation in the Humber region with the appointment of a Transport Planner. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience within a transport office, logistics coordination or traffic planning environment and is looking to develop further within a fast-moving operation.

The Role

You'll be involved in the day-to-day planning and coordination of UK transport activity, helping to ensure work is scheduled efficiently, service levels are maintained and communication remains clear between drivers, customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and coordinating daily transport movements
  • Allocating work efficiently across vehicles and drivers
  • Liaising with drivers, customers and internal departments
  • Monitoring progress throughout the day and reacting to changes
  • Keeping systems and records updated accurately
  • Supporting compliance around driver hours and transport regulations
  • Resolving queries quickly and professionally
  • Assisting the wider operations team with general planning/admin support

The Person

  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics or planning role
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Confident using IT systems
  • Good UK geographical knowledge
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Detail-focused and proactive
  • Comfortable in a busy, operational environment

Package

  • £28,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
  • Full-time, permanent role
  • Daytime operational hours
  • Occasional rota-based on-call
  • Parking available
