We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a busy industrial manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement projects to improve reliability across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with the maintenance schedule.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Install, test, commission and maintain electrical systems, including:
    • Power distribution
    • Lighting and emergency lighting
    • Control systems
  • Fault find on PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system.
  • Ensure all work complies with health & safety legislation and electrical regulations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term engineering solutions.
What You'll Be Working On

You'll be maintaining a variety of heavy industrial equipment, including:

  • Conveyors
  • Pumps
  • Pipework
  • Automated control systems
  • Mobile plant

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering plenty of technical variety and problem-solving opportunities.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge of PLC fault finding (Siemens experience highly desirable).
  • Understanding of automation, sensors and control systems.
  • Experience working within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
