The Opportunity
We're working with a $2.4bn global engineering group specialising in electrical wires, cables, cable assemblies, wire harnesses and electro-mechanical solutions. They are looking for a Technical Sales Executive to develop Northern England and Scotland. This is a newly created, largely greenfield territory, giving you the opportunity to build a customer base and make the role your own.
The Role
- Developing new business across Aerospace, Defence, Rail and Industrial markets.
- Identifying and engaging engineering, procurement and commercial contacts.
- Developing opportunities from initial contact through to sale.
- Building and growing long-term customer relationships.
- Understanding customer requirements and working with internal teams to develop solutions.
- Managing your own territory, pipeline and customer activity.
About You
We're open to experienced external sales professionals or ambitious people looking to move into a field-based sales role. You do not need to be an engineer. We're particularly interested in people who have worked in a manufacturing, engineering or technical product environment and are comfortable dealing with customers.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
- Technical Sales / Sales Executive
- Internal Sales / Internal Account Manager
- Business Development
- Account Management
- Manufacturing or engineered products
- Electrical or electro-mechanical products
