F.R. Scott Ltd , established in 1945, is looking for an experienced and fully qualified Electrician to join its established Electrical & Controls team.
Working predominantly across Hull and the surrounding area, you'll carry out a varied mix of electrical installation, maintenance and fault-finding work across commercial, industrial and public sector buildings.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrician who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working across electrical installations, controls and building services systems.
The Role
Working as part of the Electrical & Controls team, your responsibilities will include:
Installing, maintaining and fault-finding electrical and controls systems
Carrying out electrical installations including lighting, power, containment, steel conduit and trunking
Installing and terminating control wiring and cabling to a high standard
Assisting with the installation, modification and commissioning of BMS and heating control systems
Working from electrical drawings, wiring schematics and control panel diagrams
Diagnosing faults across electrical systems, pumps, valves, motors, sensors and heating controls
Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive works on HVAC and building services controls equipment
Testing and inspecting electrical systems for safety and compliance
Working alongside engineers and other trades to complete projects efficiently and professionally
Completing job sheets, testing documentation and site reports accurately
Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment on site
About You
We're looking for a fully qualified Electrician with good commercial or industrial experience and strong fault-finding skills.
You will need:
Proven experience working as an Electrician within commercial or industrial environments
18th Edition qualification
Good knowledge of current electrical regulations and safe working practices
The ability to read electrical schematics, panel drawings and technical documentation
Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Competence using electrical test equipment, hand tools and power tools
Full UK driving licence
A positive attitude and good communication skills
Experience with controls wiring, heating systems or BMS installations would be highly beneficial.
A Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent) would also be beneficial but isn't essential, while IPAF, PASMA or ECS cards would be advantageous.
