The Role Working alongside the Legal Counsel, you will provide day-to-day legal and compliance support across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts.
Supporting governance and compliance processes by triaging legal queries, resolving routine matters and escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
Preparing legal and commercial materials to support sales teams during bids and customer engagements.
Assisting with the implementation and continuous improvement of legal and compliance processes,
Drafting policies, guidance notes and template documentation for approval by Legal Counsel.
Producing contracts and other legal documentation using standard templates.
Managing data protection matters, including subject access requests, breach reporting, ICO notifications and maintenance of the data risk register.
Coordinating information from stakeholders and ensuring compliance deadlines and actions are completed on time.
About You To be considered for this role, you should have:
Experience working as a commercial contracts paralegal in either in-house or private practice
Experience handling confidential commercial and business information.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload with minimal supervision.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Excellent research skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, audience-appropriate documentation.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving legal and compliance issues.
A commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk against practical business needs.
It would also be advantageous if you have:
Experience working with senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of governance, compliance or regulatory frameworks.
Experience improving or implementing legal processes.
What's on Offer
Salary of £32,000 - £40,000 , depending on experience.
