We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Projects Officer to join the University of Huddersfield's new interdisciplinary research centre, the Centre for Equity in Mental Health (CEMH), funded through a large award from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Mental Health Research Groups (MHRG) Programme.

CEMH will transform the mental health research landscape in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield (CKW), creating a vibrant, sustainable research community by growing new research talent, strengthening relationships with research-intensive organisations and making CKW more attractive to established researchers, business and funders. It will deliver step change in mental health outcomes, particularly for under-served and vulnerable populations in CKW, through a large and varied programme of high-quality research with local, national and international impact.

You will report to the CEMH Programme Manager and will support programme-wide research projects and initiatives, working closely with senior colleagues to ensure the effective administration, coordination and delivery of the day-to-day operational key priorities. You will support a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to such areas as supporting the Programme Manager with administrative, digital and communications dissemination and mobilisation activities, with an opportunity to bring creativity to the narrative about our research work-packages and cross-cutting themes.

You will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent qualification in a business administration or research projects-related subject or have significant relevant experience. You will have experience of working with research programmes within higher education and/or applied health research infrastructure or similar institutions. You will demonstrate operational experience of digital communications, research administration and project work. You will be able to evidence proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including advanced MS Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as demonstrable professional use of social media platforms, such as LinkedIn and online graphic design and visual communication platforms, such as Canva.

We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties). This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Regular status checks may also be required, depending on your role.

The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
