Ready to inspire the next generation of psychologists? Hays Education are proud to be working with a fantastic secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher for a part-time role starting in September. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming school where students are engaged, ambitious, and eager to learn. The position is available three days per week (Tuesday to Thursday) and is expected to run until at least October half term, with the potential for extension.

Whether you're helping students understand social influence, memory, attachment or research methods, you'll bring psychology to life in a way that captures curiosity and develops critical thinking skills.

What you'll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Psychology lessons to secondary school students
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
  • Inspiring students to develop analytical, evaluative and research skills
  • Working collaboratively with a supportive department and wider school team

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A specialist Psychology Teacher
  • Previous experience teaching Psychology within a UK secondary school during the last 3 years
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their potential
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
