Academics are looking for a specialist in PMLD to support children in a specialist school in Huddersfield. They are looking for a One to One PMLD Support Assistant to provide dedicated, therapeutic support for students with complex needs.
The Role of a One to One PMLD Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support for secondary pupils with PMLD
- Support learning, communication, mobility, and sensory engagement
- Assist with individualised routines, therapy programmes, and life skills development
- Help implement IEPs, personalised targets, and care plans
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals
We're Looking For in a One to One PMLD Support Assistant:
- Experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex SENA
- Patient, empathetic, and calm approach
- Confidence using specialist communication, sensory, and care strategies
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
