Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Huddersfield / Brighouse Area

Our client, a large manufacturing business is looking to recruit a well versed Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team.
This role will focus on:
You will work as a member of the Maintenance and Facilities team, providing Maintenance support to other departments in a safe and compliant manner, ensure PPM is up to date and work orders are actioned in a safe and timely manner.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
Ensure PPM activities are completed on time.
Reactive Maintenance tasks are actioned as quickly as possible in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain compliance and statutory inspections and support other functions with this task.
Support the EHS team.
Ensure the stock of spares.
Breakdown Maintenance Activities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Technical knowledge of equipment (pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
Experience of MIG welding is essential for this role.
Experience of working with a computerised maintenance system
Experience working with machine and plant maintenance and breakdowns
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Holds a good understanding of general engineering principles
Understanding of H&S procedures
Team player
Positive attitude
Ability to work under pressure
This is a permanent position where you will be expected to work a rotating shift pattern:
Week 1 - 6am until 2pm Monday to Thursday & 6am until 11:30am Friday
Week 2 - 2pm until 10pm Monday to Thursday and 11:30am until 5pm Friday.
In return you can expect a basic salary of £35k - £39k + 20% shift allowance on the late shift, plus overtime rates for any additional hours worked. The company also offer a fantastic benefits package.
