INTERNAL SALES ENGINEER SALARY UP TO £38,000.00 PERMANENT Due to internal promotions, a position at this prestigious client is available for a talented and motivated internal sales engineer to join the team.

Role and Responsibility The Internal Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical, commercial, and administrative support to customers and internal stakeholders.

This role ensures that all customer enquiries receive accurate technical guidance, competitive and timely quotations, and professional service.

This position acts as an important interface between customers, External Sales Engineers, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure the smooth delivery of solutions.

You will demonstrate a positive attitude to learning, technical development, and teamwork, ensuring customer expectations and departmental targets are achieved.

Acting as a primary contact for customer enquiries via email, telephone, and CRM systems.

Understanding customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to provide accurate product and configuration recommendations.

Supporting customers and colleagues with technical queries relating to construction, capabilities, applications, and compatibility.

Quotation & Order Processing Preparing accurate and timely quotations using CRM systems.

Ensuring quotations reflect correct pricing, technical details, and lead-time information.

Processing orders in accordance with company procedures, ensuring correct configuration, pricing, and documentation.

Liaising daily with External Sales Engineers to coordinate customer requirements and resolve queries.

Working with Engineering, Planning, and Production teams to confirm technical feasibility and align realistic lead times.

Supporting Operations by providing clear technical input and specification details to minimise manufacturing errors.

Providing data for sales reporting, forecasting, and pipeline updates as required by the Internal Sales Manager or Sales Director.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Internal Sales team.

Contributing to departmental organisation, including management of shared inboxes and collaboration tools.

Skills and Experience Strong technical and commercial interest or background (engineering, manufacturing, mechanical understanding).

Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Ability to interpret drawings/specifications (training provided).

Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
