Role Summary
This HR leadership role is responsible for delivering the Oxalis Logistics Group People Plan, reporting to the HR Director supporting the people strategy and providing expertise, guidance and support across all employee and union relations. You’ll balance strategic input with hands on leadership, embedding our values in every decision and interaction and support all stages of the colleague life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of National Negotiating Committee for Oxalis Logistics.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on collective bargaining and industrial relations strategy
- Negotiate with trade unions on a range of matters, ensuring balanced and sustainable outcomes
- Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with union representatives and all internal stakeholders
- Support and coach managers to confidently manage employee relations issues within both formal and informal union environments
- Lead on complex ER cases, ensuring alignment with legislation, policy, and best practice
- Provide leadership, development and support to the HR team enabling them to deliver their best every day in line with and demonstrating our company values of Innovation, Responsibility, Agility and Respect
- Ensure all ER related processes, agreements, and data are accurately maintained and compliant
Requirements
- Extensive experience negotiating with trade unions, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes
- Strong background in building and sustaining positive relationships with union representatives
- Demonstrable experience working in a highly unionised environment
- Excellent influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence in managing complex industrial relations issues and driving resolution
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to balance commercial needs and employee outcomes
- Passion for developing others and improving capability across employee relations
