We're looking for an experienced and motivated Housing Officer specialising in Anti-Social Behaviour to join our Housing Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting victims, working constructively with perpetrators to address unacceptable behaviour, and developing strong partnerships that promote safe, sustainable neighbourhoods.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines general housing management with a specialist focus on anti-social behaviour. You will be responsible for managing a small neighbourhood patch, delivering a full range of tenancy management services, while leading on anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement cases across the organisation.
You will take ownership of a diverse caseload of anti-social behaviour cases, ensuring they are investigated thoroughly, managed proactively and resolved effectively. You will work closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to identify appropriate interventions, safeguard vulnerable individuals, prevent issues from escalating and, where necessary, take proportionate enforcement action.
The Role
- Deliver a high-quality housing management service to a designated neighbourhood.
- Lead on the investigation and management of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and tenancy enforcement cases across the organisation.
- Support and safeguard victims while working with perpetrators to encourage positive behaviour change wherever possible.
- Conduct risk assessments, gather evidence and develop robust action plans to achieve successful case resolution.
- Prepare cases for legal action, including witness statements, court documentation and liaison with legal representatives where appropriate.
- Build effective relationships with key partners, including the Police, Local Authorities, Community Safety Partnerships and support agencies, to deliver coordinated solutions.
- Ensure customers receive clear, timely and empathetic communication throughout the management of their case.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of housing and neighbourhood services by identifying opportunities to enhance the customer experience and strengthen community safety.
