Start time: 6:00am
Pay:
- First 12 weeks: £20.00 per hour (£22.41 per hour including holiday pay)
- After 12 weeks: £21.12 per hour (£23.66 per hour including holiday pay)
Assessment Days:
- Thursday 10th September, 7:00am start
- Friday 11th September, 7:00am start
Successful candidates are expected to start on Monday 14th September, followed by a two-week induction and training programme.
The Role:
We are looking for experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our delivery operation, delivering drinks to hotels, restaurants, pubs and clubs across the M25, Kent and Essex. You will be driving an 18-tonne rigid vehicle, making up to 16 deliveries per day, although the number of drops will vary. You will work as part of a two-person crew alongside a Drivers Mate and will be expected to take an active role in the unloading and delivery process. This is a Monday to Friday, 42.5-hour-per-week, job-and-finish position.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Class 2 (C) licence
- Have at least 1 year’s commercial driving experience
- Have no more than 3 penalty points
- Live within a sensible commuting distance of the TW5 depot, due to the early 6:00am starts
- Be comfortable with manual handling and actively assisting with unloading
- Be able to complete daily manual entries on an in-vehicle unit
- Pass Maths, English and tachograph proficiency tests
- Be reliable, safety-conscious and customer-focused
PPE Required:
Drivers must provide and wear:
- Hi-Vis clothing
- Safety boots meeting EN ISO 20345 S3 SRC standard
