Overview

We are working with a well-established social housing provider who are seeking an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor on a 3-month contract. The focus of this role is to support the organisation in assessing the condition and remaining life of key housing components while capturing accurate asset data, including energy efficiency information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake stock condition surveys across residential properties
  • Assess the age, condition and remaining lifespan of key components, including:
    • Kitchens
    • Roofs
    • Windows and doors
    • Other main building elements
  • Record component data to support lifecycle planning and future investment programmes
  • Collect energy efficiency data, including:
    • Loft insulation levels
    • Window and door specifications and measurements
  • Ensure all survey data is accurate, consistent and uploaded to the relevant asset management system
  • Identify any immediate maintenance or compliance concerns during inspections
  • Support the wider asset management team with data validation and reporting where required

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Stock Condition Surveyor within social housing or a similar environment
  • Strong understanding of building components and lifecycle assessment
  • Experience collecting and reporting on asset and energy efficiency data
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and mobile data capture tools
  • Good attention to detail and ability to produce accurate survey records
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Desirable

  • Knowledge of SAP or EPC-related data collection
  • Experience working on planned maintenance or asset investment programmes
