Infrastructure Engineer 3rd Line & Automation
Location: Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire
Were looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a busy Infrastructure Operations team, providing 3rd Line support while driving automation and continuous improvement across the infrastructure environment.
A proactive, hands-on approach to automation, problem-solving and continuous improvement, with a drive to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide infrastructure support and act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
Automation
Development: Identify inefficiencies and build automation solutions using tools like Power Shell, Python, and Bash to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
Develop automation using Power Shell, Power Automate, Python and other technologies.
Automate repetitive deployment, monitoring, reporting and administrative tasks.
Support and maintain Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, Intune, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and identify root causes.
Manage infrastructure maintenance, upgrades, patching and technical improvements.
Support infrastructure projects and technical implementations.
Skills Needed
3rd Line Infrastructure Support.
Microsoft 365, Azure and Windows Server experience.
Strong Power Shell scripting and automation skills.
Microsoft Intune, Active Directory and Entra ID experience.
Experience with Power Automate / Power Platform.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
A proactive approach to automation and continuous improvement.
