An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Controller to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing business based in Hinckley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong organisational and administrative skills. You will play an important role in supporting the production process, ensuring work is accurately documented, orders are processed correctly and components move efficiently through the business.

Working closely with the production team, planning, stores and other departments, you will help ensure the smooth flow of work from order through to completion and dispatch.

The Role

  • Raising and issuing job tickets and works orders to the shop floor
  • Ensuring job documentation is complete, accurate and available for production
  • Processing and completing order forms for subcontractors and external suppliers
  • Preparing paperwork and documentation for components being sent out for subcontract processes
  • Monitoring the progress of jobs through production and updating relevant records
  • Liaising with production, stores and other internal departments to help maintain the flow of work
  • Checking completed orders against relevant paperwork before packing and dispatch
  • Labelling, packing and preparing finished components and customer orders for shipment
  • Ensuring correct identification and traceability documentation is maintained
  • Updating internal systems and spreadsheets with production and order information
  • Assisting with stock and material administration where required
  • Supporting the coordination of subcontract work, including preparing parts and documentation for collection or delivery
  • Following up on outstanding paperwork, orders and production documentation
  • Helping to identify and resolve any administrative issues that could delay production or dispatch
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures and quality requirements
  • Providing general administrative support to the production and operations teams

The Ideal Candidate

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • Confident working with production paperwork, order forms and internal systems
  • Able to communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments
  • Competent using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
  • Proactive and able to work independently when required
  • Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Someone who understands the importance of accuracy, documentation and traceability
  • Someone who has previously worked in a production/manufacturing environment is advantageous
