About the Course Marshall role We are urgently seeking a friendly, confident and proactive Course Marshall to help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the golf course.
This customer-facing role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a good understanding of golf etiquette and takes pride in delivering excellent service.
You'll be responsible for monitoring activity across the course, supporting golfers and helping maintain a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities Welcome golf societies on the 1st tee, issuing scorecards and any required course information.
Patrol the course using a golf buggy to ensure all players are on the tee sheet and have paid the appropriate green fees.
Monitor pace of play and politely encourage groups to keep play moving where necessary.
Liaise regularly with the Pro Shop, providing updates on course activity and ensuring players have checked in before starting their round.
Encourage golfers to repair pitch marks, replace divots, rake bunkers and help maintain excellent course standards.
Approach dog walkers who have strayed from designated public footpaths, offering polite guidance and directing them safely back to the correct routes.
Deliver exceptional customer service while promoting a welcoming atmosphere across the club.
About You Able to interact with golfers in a tactful, friendly & helpful manner.
A good sense of humour is essential.
Must have a basic level of golf rules & golf etiquette.
Must hold a valid, full UK driving licence.
Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Confident in driving a golf buggy over hilly terrain.
Hours: 12 hours per week, fixed term contract until the 9th November 2026 Times will vary depending on the club diary & can be flexible.
Remuneration and Benefits Up to £12.71 per hour.
Complimentary golf at Flackwell Heath Golf Club for duration of your contract.
Uniform provided.
