HGV Class 2 Driver - Warrington, Cheshire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, paid breaks, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver .
Rates of Pay:
£17.13 per hour (standard 48 hours)
£25.70 per hour (overtime after 48 hours)
Minimum of 12 hours paid per shift
All breaks fully paid
Shift Pattern:
As an HGV Class 2 Driver , you will work:
Working five days out of seven (including some weekend working)
AM shifts: 01:00 - 04:00 start times
PM shifts: 14:00 - 18:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are:
Working rotating shift patterns
Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
Completing 6-7 product deliveries to stores across the UK each day
Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures throughout the journey
Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores
Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
Reporting any customer concerns promptly to management
Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver , you will need:
A minimum of six months' experience as a Class 2 Driver
A valid UK Category C Driving Licence
A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor offences
No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good spoken and written English
Excellent timekeeping and reliability
Training:
First-day assessment
Two weeks of training alongside an experienced permanent team member
Industry-related training provided
Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
