About the Role

As an HGV Class 1 Weekend Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to operate
  • Arriving on time for your scheduled duties and informing the traffic office of any issues or delays
  • Following all company procedures, customer requirements and the Highway Code
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
  • Completing all deliveries and collections as detailed on the manifest
  • Complying with all EU Tachograph and Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations
  • Keeping your vehicle clean, tidy and presentable

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A full LGV C+E (Class 1) Licence
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience operating double-deck trailers
  • Experience with containers (dock-compliant drivers would be advantageous)
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work
