Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a growing civil engineering and utilities contractor working on electrical sub-station projects across the Greater Manchester area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable groundworker looking for long-term work with the potential of a permanent position.
Your new role
You will be working as part of a team carrying out groundwork and civils activities associated with the installation of electrical substations, cabling routes and associated infrastructure.
Excavation and preparation works for electrical substations
Installing drainage systems and underground ducting
Trenching and reinstatement works
Concrete works and foundation preparation
Backfilling and compaction
Assisting with the installation of utility and electrical infrastructure
Working safely around live construction and utility environments
General groundworks and labouring duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
Previous groundworks or civil engineering experience
Experience carrying out drainage and ducting works
CSCS Card essential
Machine tickets are an advantage
