They are searching for a Lead Transport Planner to play a vital leadership role in keeping their operations running smoothly.
This is what you'll be doing: Lead the day-to-day planning and optimisation of a UK-wide multi-drop, multi-day delivery fleet.
Schedule fleet movements, driver and shunter rotas, supplier collections, internal transfers and third-party collections.
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, on time, in full and in compliance with transport legislation and drivers' hours regulations.
Monitor transport performance, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and maximise fleet utilisation while reducing operational costs.
Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse teams, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to respond to changing operational demands.
The experience you'll need in this role: Proven experience in transport planning, fleet scheduling or logistics operations within a fast-paced distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of UK road transport legislation, drivers' hours regulations and transport compliance requirements.
Experience optimising fleet utilisation, improving operational efficiency and delivering high service levels.
Excellent organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating effectively across drivers, operational teams, suppliers and customers.
