We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision - Hemel Hempstead to join a supportive and well-established alternative provision from September. This is an exciting temp to perm opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people.
This role would suit experienced Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers or Residential Support Workers who are passionate about supporting learners to overcome barriers to education.
We welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- Mainstream schools
- Alternative Provision (AP)
- SEMH schools
- Youth work
- Residential children's homes
- Other roles supporting children or young people with additional needs or challenging behaviour
The successful candidate will:
- Build positive relationships with pupils
- Support students with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Promote engagement in learning and positive behaviour
- Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral team
- Demonstrate resilience, patience and a proactive approach
