Orion Building Engineering Services is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer / NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to join our growing engineering team. With more than 20 years' experience, Orion has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building engineering and maintenance services across a wide range of customer sites. The role is varied, working across sites including schools, offices and residential properties. You will be responsible for a mixture of electrical installation, planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, testing and compliance, while also supporting the business with its NICEIC Qualified Supervisor requirements.
Day to day, you will:
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and repair works
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults
- Complete planned maintenance and service visits
- Inspect and test electrical installations in line with current regulations
- Accurately record test results using our electronic compliance systems
- Support and maintain NICEIC compliance as a Qualified Supervisor
- Work closely with other engineers and the wider office team
- Make recommendations following service visits where further works are required
- Provide a professional and helpful service to our customers
What we're looking for:
You will be an experienced electrician with strong technical knowledge and confidence working independently. You will ideally have:
- Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, repair and testing
- Strong knowledge of NICEIC requirements and experience working as, or being suitable to act as, a Qualified Supervisor
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Inspection & Testing 2391 or equivalent
- ECS Gold Card
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good IT skills and confidence using PDA/compliance reporting systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong customer service skills and a professional approach
- Experience with BMS systems, IPAF/PASMA and Solar PV qualifications would be an advantage but is not essential.
