Academics are seeking a dedicated and experienced HLTA to join their team on a full-time basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated HLTA who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, working closely with class teachers, leadership staff, and support teams to help pupils reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting the planning and assessment of learning in line with the national curriculum
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a purposeful, engaging learning environment
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEND, EAL, and varying ability levels
- Monitoring, recording, and feeding back on pupils' progress and achievements
- Working collaboratively with teachers to adapt learning materials and approaches
- Providing pastoral support and contributing to pupils' social and emotional development
- Supporting classroom routines and contributing to the wider life of the school
- Upholding safeguarding, wellbeing, and health & safety standards at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience
- Strong experience working within a primary school setting
- Confidence delivering lessons independently across different year groups
- A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice
- A genuine passion for education and supporting children to succeed
