The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy, management, and operations. This role ensures strong financial governance, effective cash flow management, and robust credit control processes to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives
- Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
- Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
- Monitor financial performance and recommend improvements
- Cash Flow and Cash Allocation
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
- Ensure optimal cash allocation across operational needs
- Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements, and treasury activities
- Approve payments in line with company cash flow strategy
- Credit Control & Accounts Receivable
- Lead and develop a strong credit control function
- Establish and enforce credit policies and procedures
- Monitor debtor balances, aging reports, and collection performance
- Oversee escalation and resolution of overdue accounts
- Work closely with sales and operations to improve billing and collections processes
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team
