We have a contract vacancy for an enthusiastic person to lead a small but dedicated team on this progressive family-owned mixed farm, situated on the edge of the Malvern Hills. The all year round calving herd of H/F cows are producing over 10,000 litres and a bias towards Autumn calving is ongoing. The farm produces milk for a premium supermarket contract. Well maintained facilities include a 32/32 GEA parlour with ADF, ACR’s, auto ID & shedding which is capable of milking over 100 cows per hour with 2 milkers. With a focus on maximising milk from home-grown forage the herd is cared for to the highest standards of health and welfare. A significant level of autonomy will be given to the right person to stamp their mark on this herd with the challenge of maximising the use of the required grazed grass element and leading the team to achieve results. So, if you have a good mix of technical expertise, practical ability and a willingness to accept a high level of responsibility for the day to day management of the whole herd together with taking an active role in the forward planning we can offer an exceptional package – regular and reliable relief and a salary to reflect the importance of the position. A well-appointed 2 bed house with D/G, oil fired C/H and a enclosed garden is available free from rent and council tax and within easy reach of large market town and good local schools. For an informal discussion please contact Trevor Jolley on . No overseas applicants without a work visa
