Our engineering clients based close to Havant have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Engineer to join their growing team.
The Quality Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the organisation's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements. The role supports compliance, internal auditing, corrective actions, document control, and preparation for external certification or surveillance audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Ensure quality procedures, policies, processes, and records comply with ISO 9001 requirements.
Manage controlled documents, including procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality manuals.
Support the Development of departmental processes and procedures
Plan and conduct internal quality audits and support external certification and customer audits.
Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and improvement activities.
Maintain the internal audit schedule and audit records.
Monitor and report on quality KPIs, trends, non-conformities, customer complaints, and audit findings.
Provide ISO 9001 awareness and QMS training to employees.
Support process owners in defining, documenting, and improving business processes.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organisation.
Liaise with certification bodies, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on quality-system
Promote a Risk-Based approach to Quality Management
Deputise for the Quality Manager
Support of RCA (Root-Cause Analysis) as required.
Required skills & experience:
At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory environment.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
Certified Internal auditor (Lead auditor preferred, but not essential)
Working hours 8:00am 4:30pm Mon Thurs & 8:00am -1:00pm Fri
