Our client is a well-established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Havant. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their machine shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machinery to manufacture high-quality precision components to tight tolerances. While the role is primarily focused on CNC turning, there will also be opportunities to support milling operations where required.

CNC Turner Position Overview

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
  • Manufacturing precision-engineered components from engineering drawings.
  • Working with Pro Trax and Siemens 828 control systems.
  • Producing components to tight tolerances and quality standards.
  • Conducting first-off, in-process and final inspections.
  • Selecting, setting and changing tooling as required.
  • Identifying and resolving machining and programming issues.
  • Supporting CNC milling operations as required to meet production demands.

CNC Turner Position Requirements

  • Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience working with Fanuc controls would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling and tolerances.
  • Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Previous CNC milling experience would be beneficial, although not essential.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Havant.

CNC Turner Position Benefits

  • £18.00 - £20.00 per hour depending on experience.
  • 37.5-hour working week (Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00).
