We are currently seeking a skilled Sliding Head Programmer / Setter / Operator to join our dynamic Operations team.

Key
Responsibilities: Set up and operate STAR 38-B sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, ensuring all machines run efficiently.
Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs to achieve accurate dimensions and surface finishes.
Inspect components using precision measuring instruments to confirm adherence to specified tolerances.
Conduct basic preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure longevity and performance.
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering strictly to company safety procedures.
Ideal
Candidate: Proven experience in operating sliding head (Swiss-type) CNC lathes, preferably STAR machines.
Strong programming skills in CNC, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e. g., micrometres, verniers).
