Location: Doncaster

Pay: £15.43 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay

Contract: Temporary until 30 October 2026 (with possible extension)

Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Lynx Employment Services are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Street Scene Supervisor to join a busy operational team in Doncaster. This is a hands-on supervisory role leading frontline Street Scene teams across cleansing, grounds maintenance and environmental services. You'll provide day-to-day leadership, ensure services are delivered safely and efficiently, and maintain high operational standards across the borough.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support operational Street Scene teams.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor daily performance.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
  • Manage staff attendance, annual leave and sickness.
  • Liaise with managers and stakeholders to maintain service delivery.
  • Ensure vehicles, depots and equipment are operated safely.
  • Support continuous improvement and service quality initiatives.
Requirements
  • Previous supervisory or management experience within Street Scene, cleansing, grounds maintenance, highways or environmental services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Management qualification (Level 3 essential, Level 5 desirable) or equivalent experience.
Additional Information

Based across Northbridge and Cantley depots with travel throughout Doncaster. Site-based role with regular field visits. Microsoft Teams interviews. Immediate start available.
