The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a small, highly skilled maintenance team based.

Working as part of a team of three, you will play a key role in ensuring critical mechanical systems remain safe, compliant and fully operational across commercial, industrial and defence environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role involving installation, planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs on a wide range of mechanical plant.

This position requires an individual with excellent technical knowledge, strong fault-finding abilities and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair mechanical plant and equipment across site.

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with MOD JSP 375 and SFG20 Planned Maintenance Specification .

Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.

Work on a range of mechanical equipment including: Pumps Motors Cooling towers Air Handling Units (AHUs) Generators

Replace or refurbish mechanical components as required.

Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection and repair records.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health & safety legislation and site procedures.

Work closely with colleagues to maintain the reliability of essential building services.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have: HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a similar recognised qualification.

Previous experience working within commercial building maintenance.

Strong knowledge of mechanical plant including pumps, motors, cooling towers, AHUs and generators.

Excellent fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate maintenance documentation.

Experience working to JSP 375 and SFG20 maintenance standards (desirable).

A commitment to safe working practices and regulatory compliance.

The ability to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance (essential).

Monday to Friday working pattern (37.5 hours per week). 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. 6% matched pension contribution.
