Are you an experienced Sales Order Processing professional who enjoys improving processes, developing teams and driving operational excellence? We are looking for a Sales Order Processing Manager to lead a small team responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of customer and supplier orders. This role will have a particular focus on overseeing, developing and streamlining the Sales Order Processing (SOP) function to ensure exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency.

The Role

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of 3
  • Oversee the end-to-end Sales Order Processing function
  • Ensure customer and supplier orders are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Review and improve SOP workflows, procedures and best practices
  • Identify process improvements and remove operational bottlenecks
  • Monitor KPIs and drive performance across the department
  • Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Quality and Operations teams
  • Resolve escalated order, customer and supplier queries
  • Ensure service levels are maintained and continuously improved
  • Act as the voice of the team, ensuring operational priorities are represented across the business

About You

  • Previous experience managing or overseeing a Sales Order Processing function
  • Strong understanding of order management, customer service and operational processes
  • Experience within sales operations, customer operations, supply chain, purchasing or a similar environment
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Experience leading, mentoring or supervising a team
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
  • Confident using KPIs and reporting data to drive decision-making
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
