Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer (with mechanical knowledge and experience) to support the reliability and performance of their manufacturing operations. The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will conduct planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting electrical maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and equipment to maximise uptime and operational efficiency. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical repairs
  • Respond quickly to electrical breakdowns to minimise production downtime
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on PLCs, drives, motors, sensors, control panels, and associated equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Support condition monitoring and reliability improvement activities

Production Support

  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning projects
  • Identify recurring faults and implement effective corrective actions
  • Recommend improvements to enhance plant performance and reliability

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Work safely at all times, following site health and safety procedures
  • Apply full Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures before conducting maintenance work
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly
  • Help maintain equipment to ensure products are manufactured to quality specifications

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to projects focused on reducing downtime and increasing efficiency
