Join a well-established engineering company near Halesowen as a Forge Operative, where you'll play a key role in the heat treatment and logistics process.
Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for a Forge Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen.
As the Forge Operative you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLTs and overhead cranes.
Commutable from Birmingham, Aston, Halesowen, West Bromwich, Dudley, Smethwick, Harborne, Northfield, Sutton Coldfield, Minworth, Rowley Regis Duties Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers) Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment.
Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided) Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLTs and the cranes.
Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane Support with continuous improvement Requirements Forge experience Experience operating Counterbalance FLTs Experience working within a foundry Operating overhead cranes Happy to work days You will be given the opportunity to join a long-established organisation with a long-term career available to you.
