We are working with our prestigious client who are seeking a new Site Maintenance/Gardener to join the team in Bacton Norfolk.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must hold a valid PA1 certificate and either PA2 or PA6 certification (or equivalent recognised pesticide application qualifications) to undertake herbicide and vegetation control activities safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, shrubs, hedges, and landscaped areas.
Grass cutting, strimming, edging, and general grounds maintenance.
Weed control using approved herbicides in accordance with site procedures and legislation.
Pruning, planting, watering, and seasonal horticultural tasks.
Litter picking and ensuring external areas remain clean and presentable.
Inspection and maintenance of gardening equipment and machinery.
Safe storage, handling, and application of pesticides and chemicals.
Reporting any site hazards, defects, or environmental concerns.
Adhering to site safety procedures, permit systems, and environmental standards.
Supporting additional grounds and facilities maintenance tasks as required.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a gardening, grounds maintenance, or landscaping role.
Valid PA1 and either PA2 or PA6 qualification (or equivalent pesticide application certification).
Knowledge of safe herbicide application techniques.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider facilities team.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
Good communication skills and a professional approach.
Desirable Requirements
Horticultural qualification (RHS, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
Experience working within industrial, commercial, or high-security environments.
Use of ride-on mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
First Aid qualification.
LANTRA or NPTC chainsaw certification (advantageous but not essential).
This role is on a temporary basis with at least 10 weeks work to start immediately.
