A Nursing Home Manager will oversee the daily operations of a 10 Bed Learning Disability Care Home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. The candidate is expected to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and familiar with relevant legislation and regulations. Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality care and support for residents, meeting financial targets, and maintaining full occupancy.
You will be supported by dedicated Operations and Central teams, as well as a Deputy Manager and Administrator within the home, along with Hospitality and Housekeeping teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Leadership and People Management: Lead by example and develop effective teams. Create a positive working environment that nurtures good practice through training and development. Provide regular supervision and annual appraisals to Support Workers.
- Quality Management: Ensure the home operates in line with statutory and Vista Care policies and procedures, adhering to CQC requirements.
- Financial: Manage delegated budgets effectively and report any financial discrepancies.
- Management: Collate and record information in line with Quality Assessment System and CQC requirements, attending reviews as necessary.
- Health And Safety: Ensure compliance with H&S regulations, complete RIDDOR reports as required, and ensure staff complete necessary H&S training.
- Partnership Working: Maximise effective partnerships with mainstream and specialist services such as Health, Education, Employment, and Leisure.
- Equality and Diversity: Ensure equality in the workplace regardless of race, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or religious belief.
At least 3 years recent experience at Home Manager level within an LD service. Experienced in working in partnership with other professionals such as health, local authority, and CQC.
