We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 1 ADR Driver (Packages) to join our transport team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of hazardous goods in packaged form, ensuring full compliance with ADR regulations, company policies, and road transport legislation.
This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities Safely transport ADR packaged goods to customers and distribution centres.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant.
Complete all relevant transport documentation accurately.
Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported in accordance with ADR regulations.
Adhere to all driving hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Report vehicle defects, incidents, and delays promptly.
Provide excellent customer service during collections and deliveries.
Follow company procedures and legal requirements relating to hazardous goods transport.
Requirements Essential Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.
Current ADR Certificate for Packages.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Digital Tachograph Card.
Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport legislation.
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desirable Previous experience transporting hazardous goods.
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
Experience with palletised freight and multi-drop deliveries.
