Class 1 Tramper Driver - Nights
Location: West Thurrock
Shifts: Monday to Friday, start times from 15:00
Pay Rate: £18 - £19.50 per hour
We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Night Tramper Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting packaged timber between depots on drop-and-swap routes, with no manual handling required, making it ideal for experienced drivers seeking a night shift position.
Responsibilities
Transport packaged timber between depots.
Drop-and-swap trailer work.
All products are forklift unloaded, so no manual handling is required.
Check load straps at the start of each shift.
Unstrap and restrap loads as required.
Check straps and ensure loads have been secured correctly on each trailer (full training will be provided on correct timber loading).
Requirements
Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
No more than 6 penalty points.
No drink-driving, drug-driving, or insurance-related driving convictions.
Safety boots and a high-visibility vest are required.
