Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Fabricator to join their established engineering team based in Grantham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong fabrication background who enjoys working on a variety of heavy engineering projects in a workshop environment.
Overtime is available, and the company is keen to recruit someone looking for a long-term opportunity.
Role Overview
Fabricate steel components and assemblies from engineering drawings.
Measure, mark out and prepare materials for fabrication.
Use a range of fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
Carry out tack welding where required to complete assemblies.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are achieved.
Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
Assist with other workshop duties when required.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Fabricator or in a similar fabrication role.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience working within heavy engineering would be advantageous.
Competent using fabrication equipment and workshop tools.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Flexible to work overtime when required.
Salary & Benefits
Up to £17.00 per hour (potentially more for an exceptional candidate).
