Are you an organised and detail-focused Administrator who thrives in a busy, fast-paced distribution environment? Do you enjoy being the first point of contact, solving problems quickly, and keeping operations running smoothly? Workshop Recruitment is supporting a busy manufacturing and distribution operation in the search for a Distribution Operations Administrator to join the team at their Holbrook facility on an initial 3-month contract. This role will be based in the gatehouse office, acting as a key first point of contact for drivers arriving on site and helping to keep the distribution operation running efficiently. This is a reactive and varied role that requires strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to deal with changing priorities. Following an initial training period on a 6:00am-2:00pm shift, the role will move onto a rotating 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for drivers reporting to site
  • Allocate drivers and manage vehicle arrivals and departures
  • Maintain accurate logs and ensure all documentation is correct
  • Support despatch and receipts administration through internal systems
  • Coordinate with warehouse, transport planners, and customer service teams
  • Assist with parcel carrier processing and load paperwork
  • Help manage departmental administration, records, and reporting
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues with a proactive, can-do approach

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Previous administration experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a professional and helpful approach
