A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Supervisor to join a highly automated food manufacturing and milling operation. Reporting into site management, you will lead and support a team of engineers, ensuring the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance while driving reliability, safety, compliance and engineering performance across a 24/7 production environment.

The role is hands-on and would suit an experienced Engineering Supervisor, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with strong leadership skills and either an electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled background.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support and develop the site engineering team.
  • Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities and contractor work.
  • Manage PPM schedules and drive reductions in unplanned downtime.
  • Support breakdowns, fault finding and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and audit standards.
  • Support site projects and engineering budget management.
  • Act as an escalation point for out-of-hours engineering issues.
Requirements
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising engineers.
  • Strong maintenance engineering background within manufacturing.
  • Experience with planned and reactive maintenance systems.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics and fault finding.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification desirable for electrically biased candidates.
  • Food/FMCG, bakery, milling or other high-volume manufacturing experience advantageous.
