In this role, the successful Mechanical Assembly Technician will be responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting both engineering drawings alongside hydraulic circuit diagrams in order to build, assemble and test hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Repairing and overhauling hydraulic equipment, including but not limited to cylinders, pumps, valves and power packs.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs.
  • Manufacturing or modifying components where required.
  • Pressure testing and quality checking completed work.
  • Keeping accurate documentation of any projects worked.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background within the Mechanical Engineering sector or a related field.
  • Prior working experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience within an Assembly Technician position, specifically forming hydraulic products.
  • Strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills, with the ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously.

Occasionally, you will be responsible for assisting in site installations/commissioning.
