Rate: £15.80p/h PAYE (37 Hours per Week) Overview We are seeking a proactive and organised Inspection Support Clerk to provide essential administrative and operational support to our Inspection Team.
This is a varied role that offers an even split between office-based administration and hands-on warehouse activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting inspectors by managing paperwork, tracking inspection-related activities, organising deliveries, and ensuring inspection equipment remains compliant and calibrated.
This position would suit someone with strong organisational skills, a good level of computer literacy, and a willingness to undertake physical tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities Administrative Duties Maintain and archive quality inspection documentation and records.
Monitor and track rejected items within the company system.
Liaise with inspectors regarding the status and location of rejected components or materials.
Update and maintain inspection-related records accurately.
Monitor equipment calibration schedules and notify relevant personnel when calibration or recertification is due.
Ensure inspection paperwork and records are organised, accurate, and readily accessible.
Use internal computer systems to track components, inspection status, and quality records.
Operational & Inspection Support Duties Support inspectors by sorting and organising incoming deliveries and inspection batches.
Identify and prioritise urgent inspection work from incoming shipments.
Separate and organise multiple deliveries received within the same package.
Move materials and documentation between warehouse and inspection areas.
Assist with locating and retrieving parts, materials, and rejected items as required.
Help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient inspection environment.
Use pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment safely when required.
Manual Handling Lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to approximately 15kg.
Transport items using trolleys and pallet trucks.
Follow safe manual handling procedures at all times.
Request assistance for heavier items requiring a team lift.
Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience in an administrative, warehouse, stores, logistics, quality, or manufacturing environment.
Good computer literacy and confidence using business systems.
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Comfortable undertaking both desk-based and physical tasks.
Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to work.
Desirable Skills & Experience Experience supporting a quality, inspection, manufacturing, or engineering team.
Aerospace industry experience (advantageous but not essential).
Experience with stock control, goods-in, stores, or warehouse operations.
