The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to take strategic and commercial leadership responsibility across Scotland and Ireland.
This is a Sales Director-equivalent role, leading and developing a team of 5 Regional Sales professionals.
You will be responsible for driving sales performance, market growth, profitability and customer development across the region.
The role would suit an established sales leader from a materials handling, forklift, industrial equipment or closely aligned B2B sector, with the commercial strength to lead a regional sales function while remaining hands-on with key customers and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 Regional Sales professionals.
Develop and deliver the regional sales strategy and commercial plan.
Own sales targets, revenue, profitability and market share.
Drive new business, customer development and market penetration.
Develop and maintain key customer relationships.
Support the team with major opportunities, negotiations and high-value sales.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.
Set KPIs, review performance and drive continuous improvement.
Produce sales forecasts and performance reports for senior management.
Ensure best practice, commercial discipline and compliance across the team.
About You
We are looking for a proven senior sales leader with experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams within a technical, industrial or B2B environment.
Ideally, you will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in materials handling sales or a closely aligned sector .
Proven sales leadership and team management experience.
A strong track record of achieving sales targets.
Excellent new business and account development skills.
Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, margins and profitability.
Experience developing regional sales strategies.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and customer relationship skills.
A proactive, driven and results-focused approach.
Strong career stability and a consistent record of achievement.
Reside in Scotland
This role could suit an experienced Regional Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, Sales Director, Head of Sales, Key Accounts Manager or Commercial Sales Manager looking to take ownership of a significant regional operation.
