Materials Technician (Field & Laboratory)

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We're looking for a dedicated Materials Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Materials Technician (Field & Lab) to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you'll need the confidence to work independently, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A background in construction materials testing, along with knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices, is essential to thrive in this position. This role requires the flexibility to work away from home as required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
- Sampling and testing of construction materials on site and in the laboratory
- Completion of test sheets, including all calculations
- Production of reports in line with QA systems
Qualifications
To be a successful Materials Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of UKAS accredited laboratory practices
- Ability to undertake physical work including manual handling of samples
- Understanding of Company QHSE protocols
