We are looking for a Management Accountant to join a growing international business where finance isn't just about ticking boxes and getting through month-end. This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who likes getting stuck in, solving problems and knowing what's really going on behind the numbers.
You will be part of a collaborative UK and American finance team, working across month-end, reporting, reconciliations, payroll, VAT, projects and statutory accounting with plenty of opportunity to make things better along the way.
What will you actually be doing?
- Owning month-end accounting and reporting
- Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments
- Handling multi-currency and intercompany reconciliations
- Looking after AP, vendors and credit card processes
- Setting up projects in Xero and keeping an eye on budgets
- Supporting revenue recognition and deferred income
- Preparing payroll calculations and VAT returns
- Keeping tabs on cash, payments and cash-flow forecasting
- Helping improve processes and strengthen controls
- Working with finance and stakeholders across the wider business
Who are we looking for?
You will ideally be ACCA, CIMA, ACA, ICAS qualified (or equivalent) with at least two years relevant accounting experience. More importantly, you will be someone who:
- Knows their debits from their credits
- Is comfortable getting into the detail
- Can handle a busy month-end without breaking into a cold sweat
- Has strong Excel skills
- Understands UK accounting and FRS 102
- Communicates well with people outside of finance
- Likes finding a better way of doing things
- Can work independently but enjoys being part of a team
The nice-to-haves:
- Agency or professional services background? Even better.
- International, multi-currency, payroll, VAT or statutory reporting experience? You're ticking plenty of boxes.
And what's in it for you?
- Up to £45,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working + flexible hours
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- One week a year working from anywhere
- Access to premium events and travel opportunities
- Regular team socials and clubs
- Learning & Development framework
- Genuine career development opportunities
In short... If you're a Management Accountant who wants more than just another finance job, this could be worth a conversation. A growing international business. A friendly finance team. Lots of variety. Flexibility. And the chance to actually influence how things are done.
