In this role, the successful Controls Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of designing a variety of PLC/DCS and SCADA software for a variety of control applications. In addition, you will code independently on both the Siemens and Rockwell platforms, with the responsibility of also configuring communication networks, alongside carrying out both factory and site testing. On top of this, you will be responsible for the commission of control systems on customer sites, providing both technical guidance and customer support as and when needed. Finally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate technical documentation of any projects worked.

The ideal Controls Engineer or similar will come from a background within Manufacturing Controls/Production Controls/Integrated Automation Systems/Engineering or a related field. In addition, you will have prior practical experience within a Controls Engineer position or similar, ideally with independent coding on Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms. On top of this, you will have strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills, with the ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously. Finally, you will be computer literate with proficient IT capabilities, as well as a full, valid UK drivers license.

  • Designing a variety of PLC/DCS and SCADA software for a variety of control applications
  • Configuring communication networks, alongside carrying out both factory and site testing
  • Code independently on both the Siemens and Rockwell platforms, keeping accurate technical documentation of any projects worked

  • Full, valid UK drivers license
  • Experience coding independently on both the Siemens and Rockwell platforms with prior practical experience within a Controls Engineer position or similar
  • Background within Manufacturing Controls/Production Controls/Integrated Automation Systems/Engineering or a related field
